  Essentials and Growth use the Kahunas iOS and Android apps. Ultimate ($99) adds your own branded iOS and Android apps with your own store listings, which needs your own Apple developer account ($99 a year) and a Google developer account; Kahunas says apps go live within 30 days.¹²¹⁴

  Included: a multi-week program or a meal plan imports from one spreadsheet, PDF, Word document or photo, and clients from a CSV or Excel file. Reading a program or meal plan from a file uses AI actions from the monthly allowance.

  Clients import from a CSV of names, emails and payment status. The help center says there is currently no way to import previous data, and describes no program import from a file.¹⁵¹⁶

Every Kahunas alternative at these sizes

1. Put your client list in a spreadsheet of names and emails; Kahunas's help center lists no client export.¹⁷
2. Save each client's nutrition plan as a PDF with Print Plan on their Nutrition tab, as Kahunas's help center describes. CoachVana imports a meal plan from a PDF.¹⁸
3. Copy each workout plan into a spreadsheet or a document, one row per exercise with its sets and reps.
4. Import the program files into CoachVana: each one is read into weeks, days, exercises, sets and reps, exercises are matched to the library and rest days are kept. Review and save to your library.
5. Import the client file, match the columns once, and every client gets an invite carrying whatever details the file holds. Assign each one their program once they accept.
6. Set up your plans on your Stripe account, then move each client's billing on the day their old subscription would renew, so nobody pays twice.
7. Run both for two weeks, then cancel Kahunas.

Questions about Kahunas and CoachVana

Is Kahunas cheaper than CoachVana?

Often, yes, at larger rosters: 50 clients is $69 on Kahunas Growth against CoachVana's $100.99, and Ultimate is $99 with unlimited clients. At 30 clients the two are $69 and $69. Below 25 clients Kahunas Essentials is $35, but automations need Growth. CoachVana's first 3 clients are free with every coaching feature.

Does Kahunas take a cut of coach payments?

Kahunas says it takes no commission: clients pay on your own Stripe or PayPal account. CoachVana is the same, 0% on your own Stripe account. One difference: Kahunas's help center says a branded app must carry at least one Apple in-app purchase, and Apple takes 30% of any client who pays that way.

Can I move my Kahunas programs to CoachVana?

Yes. Print each nutrition plan to PDF from the client's Nutrition tab and import it as a meal plan, and copy each workout plan into a spreadsheet or document to import as a program: weeks, days, exercises, sets and reps are read and matched to the exercise library. A spreadsheet of client names and emails imports the same way.
