CoachVana for nutrition coaches
Nutrition coaching software with native food logging
Set calories and macros gram by gram, and watch clients log against them in the same app, with a 400,000-food database, a barcode scanner and AI meal photos.
What you are putting up with
Your clients log in someone else's app
A nutrition 'integration' means your targets live in one app and their food in another, with a sync that breaks the week you need it.
Auto-split macros you cannot change
A calorie target the app carves into a fixed protein, carbs and fat ratio is not a prescription. Nutrition coaching is the grams.
Meal plans as PDFs
A plan the client cannot log against is a document they read once.
What CoachVana does about it
Targets you type, not a ratio
Set protein, carbs and fat in grams; calories follow. Change calories and the grams keep your split. Saved per client, live on their rings the same second.
400,000 foods, a barcode scanner and a photo
Search, scan a barcode (with an Open Food Facts fallback for anything missing), or photograph the plate for an AI estimate with a stated confidence.
Meal plans clients log against
Build a plan, save it as a template, assign it. Import an existing plan from a PDF, spreadsheet or Word file. Clients tick meals off and the day's totals move.
Adaptive maintenance calories
TDEE computed from what a client actually logged and weighed, not from a population equation, once there is enough data.
Daily bodyweight, backdated
Clients weigh in every day and fill missed days, so the trend is a trend.
Supplements and protocols
Track what a client already takes, and for functional-health coaches, prescribe protocols with per-dose adherence and lab ranges.
Questions nutrition coaches ask
- Do clients need MyFitnessPal or another tracker?
- No. Food logging is built into the client app, against the targets you set. There is nothing to connect.
- Can I set macros directly instead of a calorie number?
- Yes. Type each macro in grams on web or mobile; calories are derived. Nudging calories rescales the grams along the split you chose.
- How accurate is the photo scan?
- It is an estimate and it says so: every scan shows a confidence percentage and takes an optional hint ('grilled, no oil'). Clients can edit any number before saving.
