Cookie Policy

Last updated

A cookie is a small file a website keeps in your browser; local storage is a similar place for a site to keep a setting. CoachVana uses as few as it can. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party ad pixels and no cross-site tracking anywhere on CoachVana.

What we use

Cookies and storage CoachVana uses
Sign-in (essential)Cookies set by our sign-in provider, Supabase, that keep you signed in and keep your session secure. Without them you cannot use an account. They last until you sign out or the session expires.
Preferences and drafts (essential)Local storage in your browser that remembers your theme, units, how you arranged the menu and lists, what you have seen, and a draft you haven't sent. It stays on your device and is never sent to anyone.
Your cookie choice (essential)Local storage that remembers whether you allowed analytics, so we don't ask again.
Traffic measurement (optional)Vercel Web Analytics, only if you choose Allow analytics. It counts page visits, country and device type in aggregate, sets no cookies, stores no IP address and does not identify you.

Other companies' cookies

When you play an exercise demo, the video comes from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo, which may set their own cookies once you press play. When you pay, you do it on Stripe's own checkout page, which uses its own cookies to prevent fraud. Those companies' policies apply to their cookies.

Your choices

The first time you visit, you choose “Essential only” or “Allow analytics”. You can change it at any time with in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no to analytics and never load it. You can also clear or block cookies and site data in your browser's settings; blocking the sign-in cookies stops you signing in.

The phone app keeps the same kind of essential settings on your phone and does not use advertising identifiers.

More about how we handle data is in our Privacy Policy.
